Go de Rass to Sleep becomes the 34th International Edition of Go the Fuck to Sleep
We’re thrilled about the launch of Go de Rass to Sleep, a Jamaican patois translation of our New York Times, Amazon.com, and Wall Street Journal #1 best seller Go the Fuck to Sleep. We’re excited to say that this book—written by Adam Mansbach, illustrated by Ricardo Cortés, and translated by Kwame Dawes and Kellie Magnus—is, to our knowledge, the first ever to be translated into Jamaican patois. As with the original, it is a profane, affectionate, and radically honest bedtime story that humorously captures the unspoken tribulations of putting your little angel down for the nighttime, making it a perfect Father’s Day gift. Go de Rass to Sleep was launched in Treasure Beach, Jamaica, on May 31, 2014, at the Calabash International Literary Festival, the biggest and best literary festival in the Caribbean. If you couldn’t make it out to Jamaica, come join us at the Standard Hotel (June 5, 6-8pm) in New York!
Go the Fuck to Sleep is an international sensation and has been translated into over thirty languages worldwide, with our new Jamaican patois edition joining translations ranging from Afrikaans to Czech to Turkish. Here are some of the international editions, proving that children are as restless in Nynorsk as in the West Indies.
