2016 marks the 40th anniversary of the publication of Born on the Fourth of July, Ron Kovic’s best-selling autobiography. Born on the Fourth of July quickly became an American classic and was adapted into an Academy Award–winning feature film of the same name, directed by Oliver Stone and starring Tom Cruise as Ron Kovic. To celebrate this momentous milestone—and coinciding with Ron Kovic’s 70th birthday, along with the release of his new book, Hurricane Street—on July 4, 2016, we’re releasing a special anniversary edition of the book featuring a new foreword by Bruce Springsteen. Happy birthday, Ron!
