EVENT ALERT: The Lost Treasures of R&B launch event at Greenlight Bookstore!

New York: Join us Wednesday, February 4, to celebrate the release of The Lost Treasures of R&B with author Nelson George and Ebony editor Miles Marshall Lewis!

Nelson George — acclaimed author, journalist, and film director — returns to fiction with The Lost Treasures of R&B, the third book in George’s D Hunter mystery series (The Accidental Hunter, The Plot Against Hip Hop). Professional bodyguard D Hunter takes a gig protecting rapper Asya Roc at an underground fight club, a job that quickly turns into a lethal chase. With gentrifying Brooklyn as the backdrop, D works to unravel various mysteries — both criminal and musical — while coming to terms with the failure of his security company and the ghosts of his childhood in “old Brooklyn.”

The event starts at 7:30 PM at Greenlight Bookstore (686 Fulton St.) in Brooklyn and is cosponsored by Okayplayer. Refreshments will be provided!
