Have you always wanted to write a novel? On Sunday, November 1, 2015, from 1pm to 4:30pm, Amityville Public Library will kick off National Novel Writing Month with a creative writing workshop led by Elizabeth Nunez, the award-winning author of eight novels and a recent memoir. From 1pm to 2:30pm, the workshop will focus on topics such as plot, character development, point of view, setting, dialogue, and theme. After a short break, the workshop will continue from 2:40pm to 4pm when participants will be given the opportunity to write the beginnings of a story and receive feedback from Nunez and the participants. No previous writing experience required, but participants should come to the workshop with some idea of a story they want to write and a novel that they have enjoyed reading.
