June Is International Crime Month!
Have you heard that Akashic Books has partnered with three influential independent publishers—Grove Atlantic, Melville House, and Europa Editions—for a month-long initiative featuring acclaimed crime fiction authors, editors, critics, and publishers appearing together in a series of readings, panels, and discussions?
The initiative will highlight new titles from Akashic’s Noir Series (Manila Noir!), Europa’s recently launched World Noir imprint, Melville House’s International Crime Series, and Grove Atlantic’s Mysterious Press and Atlantic Monthly Press imprints.
The festivities have already kicked off with killer events (pun intended) at Mysterious Bookshop, BookCourt, & Book Expo America.
In addition to events with authors and publishers, over the next few weeks Akashic will be spotlighting titles from all four houses, via guest posts from the publishers.
We hope you will join us in person or online for a taste of some criminally good literature!
Your friend,
Akashic Books
