Melvin Van Peebles featured in the New York Times
Akashic author and all-around baadasssss Melvin Van Peebles was recently featured in the New York Times‘ Art & Design section. John Leland reported on Melvin’s current participation in an exhibition titled “eMerge 2.0: Melvin Van Peebles & Artists on the Cusp,” which runs through November 7th at the Strivers Gardens Gallery (300 West 135th Street, New York, NY). The feature article also includes Karsten Moran’s beautiful photographs of Melvin and some of his artwork.
Melvin Van Peebles is the author of Confessions of a Ex-Doofus-ItchyFooted Mutha, and in February 2013, he provided Akashic with an inaugural video to welcome visitors to our re-launched website.
