October is cat month here at Akashic, as all of us adore those furry felines (well, almost all of us—someone here has allergies). We’re celebrating the release of Simon’s Cat Off to the Vet . . . and Other Cat-astrophes! (available everywhere October 29!) by bringing back our Simon’s Cat in Good Company feature, spotlighting some of our favorite bookstore and library cats from around the world. Check our website throughout in October to be introduced to some new purrfect pals.

Today, we’re pleased to introduce you to a purrfect trin-kitty from Wild Rumpus in Minneapolis, MN — meet Trini Lopez, Booker T, and Walter Dean! Can’t get enough? Follow Wild Rumpus on Instagram for more fuzzy pals. From the store staff:
Wild Rumpus is full of tales (and tails), but not a one is of the cat variety. Contrary to popular belief, these three handsome Manx boys did not lose their tails in a boating accident, slamming doors, or to small children. They were born this way. Trini Lopez is our toothless wonder, and Booker T’s reign as resident kitten has been recently usurped by four month old Walter Dean.
